Nathan L. Spangenberg 21, of Tucson, died September 8, 2009, in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. Born July 12, 1988 in Tucson, AZ to Glenn and Lois Spangenberg. Nathan attended Mt View High School from 2004 - 2006 and was currently serving in the U.S. Army. He had recently returned from serving in Iraq. Nathan was the youngest of his family and often referred to as "the family clown". He was a very loving, caring and giving person who loved his "mommy" very much as well as his entire family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn. He is survived by his mother, Lois Spangenberg; grandmother, Dorothy Spangenberg of Henderson, NV; sister, Megan (Eric) Bette; brother, Colin Spangenberg all of Tucson; niece and nephew, Riley and Peyton Bette and numerous friends. Services will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Casas Church, 10801 N. La Cholla Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy., Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
